Before work

Torch and gas cylinders inspected — regulator in good condition

Hot work permit obtained if brazing / welding

Ventilation ensured if brazing in confined area

Open flame kept away from combustible materials
- ✓
Pressure test conforming to Plumbing Code
- ✓
Pipes properly supported — no stress
- ✓
Long pipe handling: two persons if necessary
After work

System purged and tested — no leaks
- ✓
Gas cylinders closed and capped
- ✓
Fire watch if brazing (60 min minimum)
- ✓
Pipe offcuts and waste removed
